Friends, Family and Alumni of Lake Wenatchee YMCA Camp,

It is with great honor and solemnness, that we invite you to gather once again in support of our Lake Wenatchee YMCA Camp.

For 98-years, Y Camp has provided a home away from home, inspired youth, developed leadership, created community, and instilled camp magic in all that have had the privilege to experience the power that this beloved camp has to offer.

We are excited to announce a weekend retreat to reconnect, support camp and relive some of our greatest memories. So, pack that sleeping bag, (don’t forget sunscreen and bug spray!) and bring your family out for a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

Please, join us in supporting the Y leadership and board in this transitional time.

Our goals are simple:

  • Honor a legacy - Sharing key components of Lake Wenatchee YMCA Camp's history. Restoring vital structures of camp through a work project, share a final campfire, exchange memories, sing, laugh, and play.

  • Contribute - Learn how we might be able to help during this transition. Discussions and break out groups conducting brainstorming sessions on how this camp can continue to thrive in the face of inevitable change. How can you help? Work with Y leadership to identify potential purchasers that could continue to deliver opportunities to youth and families overnight camp experiences. It is with hope in our hearts that an alumni connection might lead to something unexpected — after all, this is where the magic lives!

  • Commitment - Most of you may remember having our own rag tied by one of your camp mentors. We offer you this rare opportunity to once again live out the mission behind the Raggers Program. Your dedication and intent is a gift to yourself and those you share it with. Ceremonies will include a Ragger re-dedication and a chance to receive your next rag!

What to expect:

  • June: Saturday - Work project day - Preparing for summer camp and restoration, discussions, and brainstorming. Stay for Sunday brunch: Our camp kitchen will be cranking out a beautifully prepared spread from scratch, with quality in mind.

  • September: Saturday - Work project day - Preparing for winter and final restoration efforts, discussions, and brainstorming.
