The Larry
Handy Lodge is named after the founder and a former Executive
Director of the Wenatchee Valley YMCA. Larry and his wife Nixeon
are truly living legends who poured their heart and soul into
the camp. They still maintain a summer cabin on Lake Wenatchee.
It took over 10 years to build the lodge, mostly with volunteer
labor. (We have some wonderful old-time
photos of the lodge being built).
Today this building continues to
be the flagship of the camp, offering 10,000 square feet of useable
space. The dining capacity is estimated at 150. If you are interested
in more detail, we have a list of
the main features of the lodge.
