Summer Positions
Resource Staff – must be 18 yrs or older, unlimited positions, 1 - 6 weeks, Volunteer (Lots of hugs and appreciation) Provide support where needed at camp. Serve in program, maintenance, and kitchen areas, as camp’s needs and individual skills determine. May live with a cabin group, providing support to the counselor. Cabin Leader – prefer 18 yrs or older, 16 positions, 6 weeks, $40-$45/day ($240-$270/week)
Manage the health, welfare, and development of a group of 4 to 8 campers. Lead and assist in program areas, and one or more weeks may be spent as support staff in the program, kitchen or maintenance areas of camp. Previous camping experience is preferred. Will live in Cabin with a group. Current lifeguard certification adds $5/day.
Bus Driver– must be 21 yrs or older, 1 position, 6 weeks, $50-$55/day ($300 – $330/week)
Primarily serves as the bus driver for all off site trips. May also serve in program, maintenance, and kitchen areas, as camp’s needs determine. May also live in cabin with a group supporting the cabin leader. Valid Washington State CDL with a passenger endorsement is required and a acceptable driving record.
Teen Director – must be 21 yrs or older, 1 position, 6.5 weeks, $45-$50/day ($270-$300/week)
Provides quality teen leadership programs that are safe, fun, and encourage teens to grow and learn in a supportive environment. In addition, this person may assist with coordinating and organizing the camp schedule and activities. Previous camping experience is required. Experience working with teens is preferred. Will work with the camp leadership team to administer the camp program. Will live with a cabin group, supporting the cabin leader. An acceptable driving record and two seasons camp or other leadership experience required.
Waterfront Director – must be 21 yrs or older, one position, 8 - 12 weeks, $45-$50/day ($270-$300/week)
Responsible for planning and directing waterfront activities that follow YMCA and ACA risk management guidelines. Will work with the camp leadership team to administer the camp program. Will live with a cabin group, supporting the cabin leader. Six weeks of waterfront lifeguard experience, an acceptable driving record, and current lifeguard certification required.
Trip Director – must be 21 yrs or older, 1 position, 6.5 weeks, $45-$50/day ($270-$300/week)
Responsible for all aspects of trip planning including risk management, camper and staff supervision, organization of supplies, and logistics for all trips leaving camp. Will work with the camp leadership team to administer the camp program. Will live with a cabin group, supporting the cabin leader. An acceptable driving record and two seasons camp or other leadership experience required.
Assistant Director – must be 21 yrs or older, 1 position, 6.5 weeks, $45-$50/day ($270-$300/week)
Assists Camping Services Director in coordinating and organizing the camp schedule and activities, both on site and off site. Support Camping Services Director with duties including scheduling, staff training, staff evaluation and program development. Supervises camp program in the absence of the Camping Services Director. Will live with a cabin group, supporting the cabin leader. An acceptable driving record and two seasons camp or other leadership experience required.
